Leafclaw padded through the forest. She had just joined ThunderClan and often took walks to get to know her new home. "So that's Fourtrees down there... and there is that river that way." She reminded herself. She pushed through the bracken and came face to face with the huge river that divided RiverClan territory with hers. "Right." She turned around and headed the other direction. Up ahead the branches parted and a small squirrel launched himself onto the next tree. Leafclaw watched. She wasn't used to all these sounds but in a way she liked them.

Cloudpaw had followed Leafclaw out of camp. He hadn't gotten a mentor yet and was rather bored so he put his skills to the test and followed the she-cat's scent trail. When he saw her the tom pounced and hooked his paws over her shoulders. "Found you!" He said hopping off and sitting down beside her. |

Leafclaw spun around. "Cloudpaw? What are you doing?" She looked at the tom with her green eyes. She wasn't upset with him just confused. "Aren't you training?" She asked.

Cloudpaw gave a sulky look. "No but I should be. I haven't received a mentor yet." He said looking up at the warrior. "Perhaps you could teach me stuff!" He said jumping up and running around Leafclaw. "Please? Please?" He eagerly bounced on the spot tail twitching.

Leafclaw shrugged. "I don't know... I am not very good at this ThunderClan stuff yet and I wouldn't want to teach you the wrong things..." She kneaded the ground with her paw. The tom obviously wanted to learn but she wasn't the best cat to ask either. Maybe just a few things. He is obviously bored. "Alright. I will teach you a few things." She sighed glad to make the tom happy but rather scared to demonstrate things and possibly fail.

Cloudpaw gave a happy yowl then asked eagerly. "Can we learn battle moves?" The tom gave another leap of joy then raced off into the forest.

Leafclaw looked unsurely in the direction of the tom. She was still very unfamiliar of the forest and didn't know where he could've went. With a sigh the she-cat trotted after him. "Cloud! Er I mean Cloudpaw! Cloudpaw!" She called scenting the air for his scent. She wasn't that good with tracking but it was fairly easy with Cloudpaw considering he had ran past the area probably only a minute ago. "Cloudpaw! Cloudpaw!"

Cloudpaw heard distant calls but ignored them bounding across the territory. He swerved to avoid the large trees and leaped over shrubs and flowers. The wind was in his fur and he felt so free. He gave a triumphant yowl then dashed even faster. "This is great! Woo hoo!"

Leafclaw perked up her ears at the sound of happy cries. She picked up her pace stalking through the undergrowth at a fast pace. "Cloudpaw! Please come here!" She called.

Cloudpaw halted. He turned and waited for Leafclaw to reach him. "Why can't I run?" He asked a little disappointedly. By now he had reached the Thunderpath and was eager to run across it. The tom reached out his paw and a second later a Monster roared past and he pulled his paw back in terrified.

Leafclaw sighed. "You can just you just ran off suddenly..." She trailed off looking at her paws. If she ever wanted to be a mentor she would have to be sterner. "Don't run off like that." She said firmly. She gasped as he placed his paw of the Thunderpath. "Don't do that Cloudpaw! Thunderpaths are dangerous and I don't want to see you on one be so foolish as to place your paw on one." I am getting the hang of this. She thought.

Cloudpaw rolled his eyes and nodded. He walked away from the Thunderpath and asked. "Can we do something now?"

The she-cat nodded. "Alright. Hunting. Umm if that's ok." Mouse-brain! Leafclaw took a few paces back then though again. Ok so where to start? Umm maybe asking him to sniff. "So what do you smell?" She asked.
